Ms. Abbott student-taught tenth grade English Language Arts and Poetry in Royal Oak, Mich. During that experience, she placed a strong emphasis on community involvement through field trips and service learning projects. Ms. Abbott believes that every student has the potential for excellence and can enjoy learning when appreciated on an intrinsic level. The most fulfilling part of teaching, in her opinion, is watching student’s develop academically and holistically.

Since the ripe age of five, Ms. Abbott has played soccer on all levels and in every position. As a starter throughout high school she was awarded “Best Defensive Player,” and will continue to grow as an athlete, working with the St. Margaret’s soccer team. She lives on campus.
