Pass Seashore State Park where Shore Dr. becomes Atlantic Ave. Go south on Atlantic Ave to First Landing State Park at 64th St. There is a fee waiver for all regatta participants and guests for entrance to the park.

Take Route 17 north to Route 1 in Fredericksburg. Turn right onto Route 1, go approximately 1 mile. Get in left lane. Take I-95 north towards Washington, DC. Take the 17 north exit towards Warrenton. Follow signs for 17 norht. Go through Warrenton continuing on 17 north. Go about 5-8 miles until you see Great Meadows on your right and take a right onto 245 towards the Plains. Once in the Plains, take a right at the T and an immediate left onto 626 towards Middleburg. Once in Middleburg take a right at the T onto 50 east. At the light take a left onto 626 (Foxcroft Road). Go exactly 4 miles and the entrance to the campus will be on your right with the school sign on your left (if you drive by the Pink House, you have gone too far).

Take Route 17 North toward Fredericksburg. Take I-95 north toward Washington, D.C. Just north of the Springfield exit take I-495 (Capital Beltway) west to Exit 13 (Georgetown Pike, Great Falls and Langley). Turn west onto Georgetown Pike (193) toward Great Falls. Proceed 2 1/2 miles to a white board fence on the right. As you go up a hill, you will notice a small sign on the right marked "Greenway". Turn right at the sign (there is a small sign for the school, also) to The Madeira School.

Sandy Run Regional Park: Crew regattas often are held at Sandy Run Regional Park at the Occoquan Reservoir located south of Washington DC. Take Route 17 North toward Fredericksburg. Continue on Route 17 to the Spotsylvania junction. Follow signs to I-95 north. Take I-95 north to exit 160B (Route 123). Merge onto Route 123. Go left on Hampton. Take left onto Van Thompson into park.

From North: I-95 south, take Lorton exit. Take a right onto Lorton road. Bear right onto Furnace road. Turn right onto Route 123. Then go left onto Hampton. Turn left on Van Thompson into park.

Take the Grove Ave. exit and bear left which continues to Cary Street . Turn left onto Cary , go across I-195 to the first stop light. Turn left onto N Thompson Street . Continue on Thompson until you see Stuart Ave. Turn right onto Stuart and continue on to 3215 Stuart Ave. You will probably need to park behind the school.

Humphrey-Calder Field: Continue on Thompson Street for 1 to 2 blocks. Humphrey-Calder Field is on the left next to a fire station.

Saint Gertrude High School: Turn right from Thompson Street onto Stuart Avenue (across from Humphrey-Calder Field). Continue on Stuart Avenue for about 3 blocks. Saint Gertrude High School is on the right.

Continue south on Glenside Drive to the fifth traffic light (Three Chopt Road). Turn left on Three Chopt. Continue straight for 8/10 mile. Turn right onto Boatwright Drive (approximately .5 mile after the traffic signal). At the bottom of the hill, make a left onto Campus Drive. Make the first right into the main entrance of campus.

William and Mary Invitational - Cross Country: This meet is held on the W&M cross country course which is located on the grounds of Eastern State Hospital. Take I-64 east to Exit 238, the Colonial Williamsburg/Camp Peary Exit. When you get off I-64, you are on Route 143. Follow 143 to the second traffic light (Route 132 South) and turn right. Follow 132 South to the first traffic light and turn right onto Route 60 West. As you approach the bridge, get into the left lane. When you go over the bridge on Route 60, you will come to a traffic light. The next traffic light about a quarter mile ahead is Ironbound Road, where you turn left and continue to the race site.

Take Route 17 North to Fredericksburg, join I-95 North at junction #126 and go North until you reach exit #133 Route 17 North. Around Warrenton, Route 17 joins with Route 15 which can be used to bypass the main town. Continue on Route 17 North until you reach Great Meadows. Make a right turn onto Old Tavern Road. Follow past Interstate 66 and make a right into the gateway entrance to the school. From points north, take I-66 West from northern Virginia; take exit 31, RT245 and head north towards The Plains. The school is located on the right about 1/4 mile from I66. From the exit the school is visible on the hill to the right.

Go across the bridge Route 360 East into the Northern Neck. When you get to the light in Warsaw where Northern Neck State Bank is, turn left onto Route 3. Stay on Route 3 until you get to Montross. After you pass the Montross Dairy Freeze and Stan's Skateland on your left, start looking for the brick Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church on your left. Turn left immediately after the church and W&L will be on your left. Continue on straight toward the football field where the Cross Country Meet will take place
