Spring Fine Arts Night at SMS

The five girls performed their end-of-year recital with a jazz dance to "Let It Rock" by Kevin Rudolph. Their jazz and lyrical instructor, Colette LaVoy, was also their choreographer. The dancers are members of the Northern Neck Youth Performing Arts Foundation, studying ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop at Richmond Essex School of Performing Arts as an after school activity. In doing so and by participating in a full length two act ballet of Nutcracker at the Lancaster Middle School Auditiorium the girls were able to fulfill their sports credit at SMS. Two of the girls are pursuing dance scholarships for college upon graduation.
