Personal Tours and Interviews

The best way to decide if St. Margaret's is the right school for you is to come and see us. We schedule visits between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please allow about two hours for your tour and interview. While the Admission Office is open year-round, you will get a better idea of what SMS is really like if you visit while school is in session, when you can meet students and teachers.

Weekend Visit Days

Weekend Visit Days are for prospective students and their parents who wish to spend extended time on campus. Parents meet with the Head of School and Director of Admission, while students see a slideshow and talk with current students about life at St. Margaret's. SMS Student Ambassadors take each family on a campus tour and everyone is invited to enjoy a meal in our historic St. Margaret’s Hall. Afternoon interviews are available by advance appointment.

Overnight Visits

Two special evenings during the year are set aside for prospective students to spend the night on campus. During these overnight visits, families arrive on campus at 5:00 on Sunday. Parents meet with the Head of School and Director of Admission, while students have dinner with SMS Student Ambassadors. Parents depart after the meeting and students spend the remainder of the evening “getting to know SMS” through a slide show, student panel, games, and other social activities. After spending the night in the Faculty/Student Center, students will attend breakfast, chapel and classes on Monday. Parents will return to campus and meet their daughter for a tour and interview, if this has not previously been completed. (Note: individual overnights will not be scheduled during the school year).
