Individual Schedule
SMS Students Scheduling for success is a unique program at St. Margaret's. By using our skill based curriculum SMS can develop a unique schedule for each individual student which is both challenging to the individual and in which the student can be successful.

Our readiness-based curriculum allows each student to have a schedule that allows her to progress in each course at a rate suitable to her strengths and weaknesses. Our curriculum offers courses that build skills and knowledge as well as those that challenge girls at the advanced and AP levels of all content areas. Each student is scheduled based on the following:
Aptitude
Skills
Habits
Background and past experience
Achievement
Interests
Social maturity

The goal is for a student to work fully to her potential,
stay healthy and have a balanced life.

SMS Students Course requirements include classes in each of our five core subject areas: English, foreign language, history, mathematics and science. Students are expected to carry a minimum of four core areas per trimester as well as one or two electives in other subjects, including fine arts, religion, health and physical education, other academic disciplines, or study hall. Summer Reading, Minimester, computer literacy and well-developed study skills complete our expectations of St. Margaret's students. Click here for exact St. Margaret's Graduation Requirements.
