 Fun on the River 2005

St. Margaret's takes full advantage of its riverfront location for learning
and recreation.  On River Day, each class traveled to a different point
along the Rappahannock's  184-mile course.  And it's become a tradition
to swim across the river on the first weekend of the school year.
Crowning the Snow Queen is always a Snow Ball highlight. SMS seniors strut their Snow Ball style.

explored nature and history at the
Rappahannock's headwaters near Chester Gap.
 Water testing was one of several scientific activities that freshmen conducted at the Virginia Outdoor Center in Fredericksburg.  Later, they went canoeing.
Dressing up made the evening even more fun for these girls. The dance floor was jammed - and jamming - all night long
Sophomores discovered "our" stretch of
the river by canoeing near Tappahanock.

 Seniors enjoyed a day of kayaking in Broad Bay,
near Virginia Beach and the Chesapeake Bay.
